What is Conveyancing

Conveyancing is the legal transfer of ownership in land or property from one person to another. It usually refers to the buying and selling of houses or flats and will usually involve a mortgage lender.

A conveyancing solicitor will be required in order to assist with the legal stages involved in these transactions and as such you will need to ensure you have a reputable conveyancing solicitor firm on hand to take your instructions.

Finding a conveyancing solicitor to assist you can often be difficult and this is because there are so many to choose from. However, do not fret as there are many comparison sites on hand to assist you with choosing a conveyancing solicitor.

The comparison sites will provide you with a comparison of quotes, not necessarily the level of service you will receive. So you would need to look into this aspect your self. However, the sites will give you a good way to shortlist your choice of conveyancing solicitors much quicker.
